Incident Management

Incident Management is the ability of an organisation to respond effectively to an unplanned event, resolving the situation before incremental adverse damage is sustained and which might escalate in severity to an Emergency, Crisis, or Disaster.

We recognise that incidents can come in many different forms, such as IT degradation and outages, unplanned absences, negative media representation, or sudden operational site restrictions, to name a few.

We collaborate with organisations to identify all potential incident types that could impact business delivery, and then we establish standardised incident reporting, impact assessment, incident severity classification, and efficient incident management and communication procedures.

As part of our Incident Management procedures development, we also establish incident warning and notification systems, as well as incident impact thresholds for the prompt escalation to and activation of Crisis Management systems when necessary.

We understand that Incident Management needs to be embedded within the operational procedures of an organisation and familiar to those responsible for its implementation. That’s why we provide training to staff with Incident Management responsibilities to ensure that they are comfortable and confident in their roles, with access to the necessary support materials. Additionally, we work with existing communication channels to integrate Incident Management procedures into the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Our approach ensures that your organisation is well-equipped to manage any unexpected incidents that may arise, allowing you to respond quickly and effectively while minimizing any negative impact on your business, operations, and people.
