Business Continuity Management

Business Continuity Management programmes are created, managed, and maintained to reduce the likelihood of unplanned significant incidents occurring where possible. Their secondary purpose is to provide the organisation with an effective, efficient response capability that both minimises the adverse impacts to the business as well as reduces the disruption timeframe when significant incidents do occur.

We follow a proven lifecycle of professional practices to develop and maintain Business Continuity Management (BCM) programs for our clients. We offer a comprehensive suite of services covering the full BCM program lifecycle, including:

Policy creation – We work with clients to define the scope of the BCM program and establish a governance framework that is appropriate for their specific needs.

Business Impact Analysis (BIA) – We conduct a BIA to determine the prioritised recovery requirements of the business. This includes identifying critical business functions and the resources necessary for their recovery.

Threat and Risk Assessment – We identify potential threats and risks that could degrade or suspend business delivery, and we recommend mitigation measures to reduce their impact.

Continuity Strategies – We identify alternate solutions for business recovery when incidents occur, ensuring that the critical business functions can be restored as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Response Procedures – We establish Incident and Crisis Management systems, including the creation of Business Continuity Plans, that provide clear guidance for the response and recovery of critical business functions.

Exercising – We conduct exercises to benchmark response and recovery performance, identify further development needs, and ensure that the BCM program remains up to date.

Auditing – We conduct formal assessments of the BCM program against pre-determined criteria, such as ISO 22301 certification, to ensure that it meets the highest standards.

Embedding – We implement activities to incorporate the BCM program into the operational procedures of the organisation, ensuring that it becomes an integral part of their business culture.

Our approach ensures that our clients have a robust and effective BCM program in place that is tailored to their specific needs, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to any disruptions that may occur while minimizing any negative impact on their business.
